Millions of RVers set out to enjoy the oceans and lakes of North America every year. From the Pacific to the Atlantic, and everywhere in between, there is plenty of ground to cover.
Crystal Cove State Park
Sitting high up on a bluff overlooking the beautiful sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean, Crystal Cove State Park is a California oasis that RVers will appreciate. The beautiful, rugged landscape stands in sharp contrast with the immaculate homes and green golf courses that surround it. RV campers will enjoy a long stretch of beach with two sandy coves, tide pools, and an underwater park for scuba divers and snorkelers. At the end of the park there is El Moro, a large preserve that features miles of biking and hiking trails.
Hunting Island State Park
Boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in South Carolina, Hunting Island State Park is a former hunting preserve that is now a virtual wonderland of natural beauty and wildlife. The park is located on a barrier island 15 miles from the historic town of Beaufort, South Carolina. Enjoy ocean views with your RV parked in the shade of the surrounding trees. You can go fishing at the pier, go for a walk on the marsh boardwalk, or hike one of the walking/nature trails. For a bit of scenic thrill, visit the historic lighthouse and make the 130-foot climb to the top, allowing you to take in a sweeping view of the beautiful shoreline below.
South Beach Campground
While you won’t find some of the luxurious amenities you can have at some other spots, raw beauty is in full supply at South Beach Campground located in Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. A nature lover’s dream, South Beach sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, giving easy access to a wide beach full of driftwood and sea creatures. The campground has 55 sites including some that are accessible to RVs up to 35′ long. However, there are no reservations, hook-ups, or potable water sources so plan accordingly.
Camp Gulf Holiday Travel Park
Arguably the best beachfront RV park in northern Florida, Camp Holiday Travel Park allows RVers to enjoy a prime location by the white sand beaches and sparkling waters of Florida’s emerald coast. The ocean is literally outside your door at the beachfront RV site. There are also RV sites a few minutes walking distance from the ocean, featuring heated solar pools and an activity center.
Sea & Sand RV Park
Most of the ocean side campgrounds in Oregon are good but Sea & Sand RV Park is even greater, offering a stunning view and access to a long stretch of beach with world famous fishing. You’re also close to all of the amenities of Lincoln City and Newport Beach, making for an unbeatable experience. At Sea & Sand, there are 114 sites with full hook-ups and free WiFi for RVs of all sizes.
